Occasionally I stumble across something pretty amazing in my mouldering archive of music papers, and decide that it isn't so mad to keep them after all. This is a good example, and appeared in the ace (but sadly rare) UK trade paper Record Retailer on April 11th 1963.
A little over a year later, Steve was fronting his own band, as can be seen in this rare live ad, from Record Mirror of July 25th 1964:
